An affiliate is a site which supports another site, usually with a similar target audience. Affiliates sites help each other in generating traffic and directing visitors to sites which may interest them.
What are the requirements to affiliate?
Nothing too major, but we also want to make sure your site isn't a site that is going to disappear off the web in a few months.
- Must have a professional or unique layout.
- Up to date content and news [where possible]
- Must have own domain name or part of a major gaming network
- No blogs, Geocities, Myspace or similar
- Must receive at least 1000 unique hits a day, but more may be required for larger Compilation Network sites
- Advertising is okay, but no pop-ups, pop-unders or adware
- Site should preferably be Final Fantasy and/or Square-Enix related, however some general gaming sites may be accepted also.
How many affiliates will you accept?
At this time we are accepting a maximum of 5 affiliates per network site. If a position is available, you will see something like "position open" listed under the affiliation link. If all spots are taken on a site which you want to affiliate with, perhaps look at one of the other network sites to see if there are any open positions there. Some sites, particularly Advent Children.net will only take on new affiliates if an application is particularly good [i.e. high traffic site, well established]. Also, we usually only accept one game specific affiliate per network site [i.e. if a Kingdom Hearts site has been accepted, it is most likely we won't accept another unless it is of a higher standard].
What must I do if my site is accepted?
Just provide a link on each page or your site to us, and we will do the same in return. Either a button or text link is fine. Don't just list us on a single page, otherwise we may cancel your affiliation [there are exceptions to this rule, but a request/reason needs to be made].
Great, how do I apply!
Just fill out the contact form with details of your site and which Compilation Network site you wish to affiliate with. We will try to reply as soon as possible if you are successful, although sometimes we get a lot of email, so there might be a delay. If you do not hear back from us, it is likely you have been rejected. We kind of feel bad saying "no", so sometimes it's better to just not reply at all.
I don't meet the requirements or were rejected, can I just link to you?

your own webspace, otherwise you will receive a message about stealing images, as
we don't allow direct linking to images.
