Throughout Advent Children's pre and post release, Square-Enix attended or were invited
to several festivals and events to promote the film. Advent Children.net was lucky to
be able to attend several of these events, either through our staff, or through kind

May 2006, Los Angeles Premiere Screening
Advent Children's only US theater screening was a special event held at the Arclight
Cinema in Los Angeles. Not only were developers and voice actors in attendance, but fans
were given the opportunity to attend by lining up to obtain a free ticket on the morning

September 2005, Venice Film Festival
This was the first screening of the full movie to the public. Square-Enix were invited
to return to the Venice Film Festival. After a successful presentation the year prior,
Advent Children was surely one of the highlights at Venice once again. Thanks to member

October 2004, Montreal Film Festival
The second screening of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Special Edition. Two
screenings of the film were shown at the Montreal Film Festival. Staff member,
Shadowgirl was lucky enough to attend the screening for Advent Children.net and
has provided the following reports.
September 2004, Tokyo Game Show
An event attended by Square-Enix every year, 2004 was no different, with Square-Enix
having a huge booth promoting not only Advent Children, but many other titles. Forum
member Great Teacher Kadashi kindly attended TGS 2004 and kindly offered to
cover the event for us.
- Pre-TGS - Arriving in Tokyo,
getting accustomed to Japan and Akihabara.
- Day 1 - Coverage of TGS and
reviews of the Square-Enix booth and games that were shown. Includes images
relating to Advent Children.

the realization of the Japanese misinterpretation of time and the trip home.

September 2004, Venice Film Festival 2004
The first screening of Advent Children took place at the Venice Film Festival. Usually
reserved for completed movies, Square-Enix was invited to attend and screened a 25 minute
version of the film at one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world.
